Mexican entrepreneur Daniel Gómez Íñiguez founded his first company—Bioenergy Solutions, better known as SOLBEN—when he was only 16 years old. As a result of research Daniel conducted for a high-school course, SOLBEN quickly grew to a high-impact alternative energy company. Rather than make biodiesel, the company develops and markets the technology that transforms any kind of vegetable or animal oil into biodiesel through an automated process.

After graduating high school, Daniel continued his studies as a chemical engineer-administrator at Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education.

SOLBEN’s success brought Daniel international acclaim. He appeared in Forbes and Inc. before age 21, and TR35 recognized him as the most innovative entrepreneur of 2013. He has won a number of awards, including the Global Student Entrepreneur Award, Talent and Innovation Challenges of the Americas 2011 Award, the New York Stock Exchange Intelius Entrepreneurship Award, and the Mexican Stock Exchange Entrepreneurship Award.

Daniel is known for his passion for entrepreneurship and social impact. He supports NGOs and young entrepreneurs in his hometown of Monterrey, as well as worldwide. In addition to his entrepreneurial endeavors, Daniel is a speaker and mentor, inspiring young people to become entrepreneurs, believe in themselves, learn from their failures, and follow their dreams. He has spoken at several JA Mexico events, including the International Entrepreneurship Forum (FIE) of Mexico.

In 2018, Daniel launched Talent Land, the largest connection and interaction event for young talent, specialists, companies, and the government. In 2021, Talent Land’s digital edition connected more than three million participants to over 600 speakers.

Throughout his career, he has delivered more than 1,300 conferences around the world. He is currently the CEO and founder of the company ANAPANA, whose team is now focused on building the standard for continuous air monitoring in enclosed spaces and its purification, promoting a culture of preventive health and making us aware of the air we breathe.

Entrepreneurship is like abstract art; there is no beginning or end, and everyone interprets it differently. What matters is taking the first step and living it in your own way.

Anapana, the Mexican Startup That Wants to Clean the Air You Breathe

Let's be honest: the quality of the air we breathe is not on most people's list of concerns . It was with the idea of raising awareness and offering solutions to the problem that Mexican entrepreneurs Daniel Gómez Iñiguez and Nadim Bujaidar founded Anapana this year.

How urgent is the problem? According to the World Health Organization (WHO), some 7 million people die each year from air pollution – both indoors and outdoors.

Given this scenario, experts expect investments of more than 7 billion dollars by 2028 in air monitoring and purification.

“Today, talking about air purification is very complicated because there are no sensors that measure the air quality of closed spaces 24/7. Regardless of the multiple purification technologies on the market, it is very difficult to confirm their effectiveness,” Anapana's founders told Business Insider Mexico.

A Global Force for Good

Since he founded SOLBEN, Daniel has focused on environmental impact and creating clean, affordable energy, working toward Global Goal 7: Affordable and Clean Energy. He remains committed to using his skills and resources to make a positive impact in the world. He strongly believes in the power of technology and innovation to create a more sustainable and equitable future and works tirelessly to advance this vision through his various initiatives and projects.
